The Trade-up promotion ended on June 30th, 2010. Due to popular customer demand, Citrix introduced a new Trade-up promotion that provides many of the same benefits, continuing to make it fast, easy and cost-effective for XenApp customers to move to the number one product in the desktop virtualization market, XenDesktop 5. The new Trade-up promotion provides XenApp customers the unique opportunity to add complete desktop virtualization to their proven Citrix® XenApp™ implementation and save up to 75 percent on XenDesktop 5. The new promotion will be available from July 12th to  December 31st, 2010.

By trading up, customers leverage their XenApp licenses to get XenDesktop 5, which allows them to do everything they do today with XenApp and deliver high-definition VDI or other virtual desktop options to every user in their organization. XenApp customers can trade-up their licenses now, continue to deliver on-demand applications as they always have, and add virtual desktops at their own pace.

1. Trade-up all at once
   Trade-up all of your XenApp licenses at once and receive two XenDesktop 5 licenses for each XenApp license. You save up to 75 percent on XenDesktop 5. Requires active Subscription Advantage.
2. Trade-up a subset
   Trade-up a subset of your XenApp licenses and receive one XenDesktop 5 license for each XenApp license. You save up to 65 percent on XenDesktop 5. Requires active Subscription Advantage.
3. Trade-up XenApp, Presentation Server, or MetaFrame
   Trade-up any expired XenApp licenses and receive one XenDesktop 5 license for each XenApp license. You save up to 45 percent on XenDesktop 5. For customers with expired Subscription Advantage.
