World’s largest automotive leasing company centralizes desktop management with RES Software, providing employees with highly secure, context-aware and personalized workspaces

RES Software, the proven leader in user workspace management, today announced that LeasePlan, the largest vehicle management group in the world is using RES Software to create a dynamic desktop environment.

The LeasePlan group operates a fleet of more than 1.3 million vehicles and provides leasing and fleet management solutions to major corporations, public sector organizations and small and medium-sized businesses. In the UK, the company operates a fleet in excess of 120,000 vehicles.

RES Software is being used by LeasePlan Infrastructure Services, the IT support engine to LeasePlan’s offices around the world, to provide end-to-end control of the company’s centralized IT infrastructure running Citrix XenApp and Microsoft App-V. 

The RES Software user workspace management solution integrates LeasePlan’s Citrix and Microsoft environments to create context-aware, personalized workspaces for its employees that can be easily managed from the company’s central data centre. Employees have the freedom to access their user settings on either their desktop or laptop devices, while the infrastructure team retains tight, central control of the security of the workspace and regulates how applications are published to the user and group-based deployment.
