Growth in services within enterprise network architectures is forcing discrete application delivery controller (ADC) solutions to evolve to a services oriented fabric, requiring an entirely new class of products.
NetScaler 9.3 marks the evolution from application delivery to a service delivery platform by introducing key multi-tenancy features and next-generation datacenter services. NetScaler SDX is an innovative multi-tenant solution that serves as the foundation for NetScaler’s service delivery platform.
NetScaler 9.3 delivers key services that run on top of that platform, such as:
- AppFlow (greater application visibility)
- NetScaler DataStream technology (database load balancing)
- VDI front-end services (XD/XA health monitors)
- Branch Repeater load balancing
- Network transparency and interoperability services (OpenCloud Bridge)
In addition to services, NetScaler 9.3 includes dozens of new switching, security, performance and management features, such as IPv6 NAT, DNSSEC, Application Firewall signatures, cookie proxying and encryption, SOAP array attack protection, default caching policies and Nitro API.
Since March 31, 2011, all Citrix NetScaler customers with valid maintenance agreements are able to download NetScaler 9.3 software.
