SonicWall launches Application Traffic Analytics suite

Network security and data protection solutions provider, SonicWall has released its Application Traffic Analytics software suite consisting of the GMS 7.0, Analyzer, and Scrutinizer solutions.

The software suite is designed to deliver real-time insight into application and data traffic flowing through a network in order to prepare for and avoid bandwidth spikes, security threats, inappropriate application usage and network outages.

The SonicWall GMS 7.0 (Global Management System) is a solution for monitoring, managing, and reporting on SonicWall appliances. Its features include: centralised security, universal dashboard, real-time policy and compliance reporting, license management, centralised logging, syslog reporting, custom reporting and activity visualisation, cross-platform reporting, active-decide monitoring, and SNMP support.

The Analyzer is similar to the GMS 7.0, but is targeted at SMB networks. Containing most of the same reporting features, it is a web-based tool that supports SonicWall firewalls, backup and recovery appliances, and secure remote access devices. Reports include: real-time and historical traffic analysis, graphical reports, user centric reports, next-gen syslog reporting, Secure Remote Access (SRA) and Continuous Data Protection (CDP) event reporting, and universal scheduled reports.

SonicWall’s Scrutinizer is a multi-vendor, application traffic analytics and reporting tool that measures and troubleshoots network performance and utilisation. It provides deep packet analysis, jitter/latency monitoring, automated reports and customisable dashboards. The Scrutinizer also provides insight into application traffic analysis from IPFIX/NetFlow data exported by SonicWall firewalls.

The SonicWall Scrutinizer is available for $US3,495. The SonicWall Analyser ($US125) and GMS 7.0 (price unchanged) will be available in November.
