Scriptlogic releases “Security Explorer 7.2” …

This is a major release for Security Explorer as it introduces the new user based licensing model.  This new licensing model allows for full management of all of the technologies available in Security Explorer on the managed domain(s).  Users can now fully manage security on all their file servers and workstations, services and tasks, local groups and users, SharePoint servers, SQL Servers, and Exchange from one console!

Security Explorer 7.2 also offers a few enhancements to the SharePoint management functionalities that significantly improve the usability and configuration as well as a new feature to scan the domain to find all SharePoint servers.

New Feature Highlights:

• New user based license model that allows for full management of all the technologies available in SXP
• New feature that scans the network to find all instances of SharePoint and imports the servers into SXP
• New SharePoint web service deployment wizard that significantly simplifies the deployment and ongoing management of the SharePoint web service
• Improved SharePoint browsing allows administrators to group all site collections together for each farm
