New IGEL Universal Desktop ES firmware updates and other news

Last week IGEL Technology has released a new Universal Desktop ES firmware. The update is available via www.myigel.com, please consult the release notes to get a full overview. Important: There are different
versions for different device types.

The new firmware contains a lot of new features and fixes including:

• Fixed wakeup via UDB from S3 state
• Browser: Added a field to enter a custom search provider
• Fixed corruption of shortcuts for PowerTerm

Also there is a new UMS version (3.09.100) with a lot of new features:

• The internal Active Directory usernames changed in UMS. The username now consists of the <loginname>@<domain>.
• UMS administrative accounts can be imported from any LDAP server (was possible with Microsoft Active Directory servers only in pervious versions).
• database backup (for embeddedDB only) can be automated
• Enhanced asset information: monitor information
• Using Universal Firmware Update with passing Proxy Service and or using Proxy authentification
