Microsoft appoints interAct, the value division of Ingram Micro Belux, as Value Add Distributor for virtualization and security

Aartselaar, 4 January 2011 – Microsoft has recently changed its distribution strategy in order to accelerate the market development and sales of the new Microsoft Technologies in the SMB market. As from January 1, interAct, the value division of Ingram Micro Belux, is distributor for  the virtualization (System Center) and security (Forefront) solutions of Microsoft  and will actively support its resellers with  marketing campaigns, certification training, sales training, etc.

The new VAD (Value Add Distributor) program of Microsoft, focused at accelerating the market development of new technologies,  covers 2 important domains: virtualization and security. “In these domains we expect a substantial growth at Microsoft. Therefore this VAD program is  one of our priorities for the coming years ”, sais Steven Stokmans, Director Small and Mid Market, Solutions and Partners at Microsoft. “interAct is well known as the specialist in virtualization and datacenter solutions and has the  necessary knowledge, experience and ambition to support the resellers in bringing our solutions to the market. We strongly believe that interAct is the most appropriate VAD for our virtualization and security solutions.”
