RES Software Integrates with New Citrix CloudPortal Services Manager
...to Accelerate Adoption of Cloud Desktop Offerings for Citrix Service Providers. In close partnership with Citrix, RES Workspace Manager enables personalization and centralized management for cloud service providers.

RES Software, the proven leader in dynamic desktop solutions and a Citrix Ready® partner, today announced its integration of RES Workspace Manager with Citrix® CloudPortal™ Services Manager, which was announced during Citrix Synergy Barcelona. This built-in integration of the two products will enable members of the Citrix Service Provider (CSP) Program to seamlessly add full automated provisioning of RES Workspace Manager to enhance their hosted Citrix environments and offer self-service simplicity to their customers. The addition of RES Workspace Manager to Citrix environments enables service providers to deliver a personalized workspace from a centralized policy-based platform within Desktop as a Service (DaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings. Using RES, they can achieve a balance between satisfying their customers’ user preferences and the IT requirements of their organizations, even in hybrid desktop environments with multiple delivery platforms, operating systems and devices.

The CSP Program supports service providers offering their customers offsite, multi-tenant hosting, with no upfront commitments or minimum fees. With the integration of RES and the CloudPortal Services Manager, service providers are able to use the joint solution as the underpinnings of their delivery infrastructure and leverage RES Software to simplify the management of their customers’ users, while enabling context aware desktops and improving the overall end user experience. The program gives them the flexibility of monthly “active subscriber” pricing and licensing through the industry-standard Microsoft SPLA model. RES Workspace Manager allows service providers to track application license usage in real time. As part of the CSP program, service providers will always have access to the most current versions of Citrix and RES products available and only pay for actual end user usage.

Citrix Service Providers can also benefit from other products in the RES Software portfolio, including RES Baseline Desktop Analyzer (BDA). BDA is an online, Microsoft Windows Azure-based service that enables quick visibility into their customers’ infrastructure through a rich analysis of their user environments. BDA fully integrates with RES Workspace Manager, so service providers can import the data captured by the analysis into Workspace Manager to construct the ideal user workspace for end users, making the onboarding of new customers a simplified and repeatable process.
