SonicOS 5.8 firmware is now available to download on mysonicwall.com

SonicWALL is proud to announce the posting of SonicOS 5.8 to MySonicWALL.com.  This firmware is now available to all customers with valid support contracts running the NSA 240, NSA 2400, NSA 3500, NSA 4500, NSA 5000, NSA E5500, NSA E6500, NSA E7500 and the NSA E8500 platforms.

SonicOS 5.8, as many of you know, marks a major milestone for SonicWALL reinforce SonicWALL as one of the leading Next Generation Firewall platforms in 2011.  There are too many features in SonicOS 5.8 to enumerate here, but among the most notable ones are Application Visualization, enhanced application control, IPFIX and Netflow reporting, Cloud GAV enhancement and all features found in the SonicOS 5.6.2 and 5.6.3 feature releases. The release for the TZ platforms will follow shortly in early 2011 and you’ll see more details come out about this release in the next several weeks.
